Family Worship Centre (FWC)
Our collaboration with FWC started towards the end of 2016 when we had lost our premises in Crosby. This Organisation headed by Pastor Audrey Jacobs and her daughter Liezel Kennedy, who runs the Hospice on site. Established since 1991, their amazing services to community include a Palliative and Frail care unit (24 hour 7 days a week Hospice), the FWC Church Sanctuary offering various programmes including a Sunday School and AWANA program under their children’s ministry, as well as spiritual and grief counselling services. In the pursuit of our re-establishment , Pastor Audrey offered us an office which later developed to the building where we are currently based with the Toy Library at The Impact Centre.
Part of the shared collaboration over the years has been the training and development of their Sunday School teachers as Play Facilitators adding value to their Children’s Ministry. As a visionary in our community, Pastor Audrey is passionate about development of her teams, filtering through their care givers to the members of her congregation. Her leadership skills include managing several portfolios including a Training and Development Centre which offers various programmes to adults to equip them and enable employable skilled individuals. Thousands have graduated through their Centre over the years. As women in our network we have seen first-hand their impact on community and wonderful potential offered through collaboration. This mother and daughter team provides daily inspiration to all involved in their network, impacting many lives in a multitude of ways.
