A fantastic day commemorating the importance of play for both adults and children. This event has been done for the past 3 years and is a day of play, play and more play. The kids never have enough of this and so this day celebrates it. In the past we have included community members, senior citizens, volunteers and kids in a day filled with fun activities including lego building, playing housy-housy, scrabble, monopoly and other board games as well as outdoor play for local and indigenous games.
- Recognized by the UN as a day to be commemorated as each child has the Right to PLAY.
- Celebrated as part of SCE annual calendar of events.
- Global event held on 28 May each year.
- A special day ensuring that play is recognized for both children and adults as an important part of development.
Our Celebrations included:
- Inviting senior members from the settlement to join us for a day of play and fun.
- Inviting senior citizens from Jordan house Old Age Facility to join us for a day out of play.
